First Commercial Aircraft is expected to land at the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport in Onyeke, Ebonyi State.
Recall that the Ebonyi State government had in 2019 began the construction of the airport after it for approval from the federal Ministry of Aviation in 2018.
Giving update on the progress of work at the airport named after President Muhammadu Buhari, the media aides to Gov. Dave Umahi, Nwaeze Francis said that work has reached advanced stage, adding that they were expecting the first flight into the airport in December.
Nwaeze wrote “Updated: Stage of work at the ongoing Mohammadu Buhari International Airport, Onueke, Ebonyi State.
“The pictures are Airport Road, Flyover, Terminal, Runway, Taxiway, Control Tower, Parking, Presidential Lounge, Apron, Fire Service, Immigration, etc.
“It is expected that the first test aircraft will land at the Ebonyi Airport by the first week of December.
“All these and many more are the developmental strides of Governor David Umahi, CON. #DealWithIt”
