The governor of Rivers State, Nyemson Ezenwo Wike will be in Abia State on Monday, September 5, 2022 to commission some road and infrastructural projects built by the host governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
Recall that governor Ikpeazu had last week visited Port Harcourt, Rivers State on the invitation of his friend and party ally, Wike where he (Ikpeazu) joined him to commission, inspect and flag off some projects.
However, in what seems to be a reciprocal venture and efforts to further cement the relationship between the governors and people of the two states, Ikpeazu chose to invite him over.
Giving details of Wike’s one day official visit to the state, the Commissioner for Information in the state, Barr. Eze Chikamnayo in a statement on Sunday listed the Osisioma Inter-change and the dualized Aba-Owerri Expressway as some of the major projects that Wike would be commissioning.
The statement from the Information Commissioner read “To the glory of God and in futherance of his commitment to create a better life for all Abians, the Rebuilder of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu will on Monday 5th September 2022 Commission the prestigious and landmark Osisioma Interchange and the Dualized and completed Aba Owerri Road, Aba.
“His Excellency, Barr. Nyesom Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State will be the Special Guest of Honour on this momentous and epoch making events which will take place at Brass Junction by 10am and Osisioma Gardens by 12 Noon prompt .
