OPM General Overseer Donates 300 Church Branches For INEC PVC Registration, Collection

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has announced the release of all the 300 branches of his church in the country to be used as registration and collection centers for the ongoing registration and re-validation of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) free of charge.

Apostle Chinyere whose church headquarters is in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is noted for various humanitarian interventions including the recent relocation of the parents and siblings of the slain Sokoto College of Education female student; late Deborah Yakubu, to Port Harcourt.

The cleric who stated that normal church service was expected to be going on in the various branches of the church, said that the essence was to bring the PVC registration centers closer to the people and church members as well.

This is even as he further stated the willingness of the church to give some stipends to the INEC staff that will cover their logistics, to enable the INEC staff work on Sundays.

Apostle Chibuzor in the statement while reminding Christians of the need to follow prayers with action says”I Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the G.O of OPM hereby release all 300 branches of OPM around Nigeria to be used as PVC collection centers free of charge by INEC.

“While our normal church service still holds, we are borrowing INEC space inside our church for PVC registration.

“So all members of OPM that have not been chanced to register for PVC, it is now at your door post.

“As you come to church service on Sunday,you register for PVC.

“If INEC staffs don’t work on Sundays, OPM church is ready to contribute small allowances for them to show up on Sundays, while other working days will be paid by INEC.

“The Nigerian government has made PVC registration free of charge.

“The future of this country is in your hands.

“We can No longer fold our arms and watch.

“Please, I also use this opportunity to encourage my fellow General Overseers to mobilize their members for PVC registration across Nigeria and let INEC also open PVC collection centers in your church branches, so your members will not give any excuse not to register in the next election.

“If they can come to church on Sunday, they can as well register as church service closes.

“Someone say, your votes dont count. So if your vote dont count, why do they campaign very hard for votes and spend alot to buy votes? YOUR VOTES COUNTS.

“We cant be praying only. Follow prayers with action.
