Abia State University Bans Students From Driving Car In The Campus

The Management of the Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, has banned students of the state owned institution from driving their car(s) in the school campus.

 

ABSU Management in a statement signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Acho Elendu stated that the reason behind the management’s decision was to curb what they described as “flagrant display of wealth” on campus.

Elendu in the statement however, exempted staffers and “accredited visitors” to the campus as the only people who would be allowed into the campus with their cars.

The statement which further stated that the decision was in the interest of the University Community, warned that any student who violates the directive would face severe disciplinary action.
