The lifeless body of a commercial motorcyclist whose name is yet-to-be ascertained has reportedly been recovered from a stagnant water along Port Harcourt Road in Aba South local government area of Abia State.
The deceased was said to have fallen inside the ongoing erosion control site along Port Harcourt road by Jonah during the heavy rain in the city.
Reports have it that the deceased fell inside the ongoing erosion control site which was filled with stormy water and got drowned after skidding off the little space used by motorists plying along the area.
Reports have it that bystanders couldn’t come to the man’s rescue after he fell into the water as they feared of being trapped or injured by some dangerous materials in the construction site.
“His corpse was found on the next day. We saw people gather and some men dive into the stormy waters and dragged out his corpse, they did some rituals before they took the corpse away”, an eyewitness narrated.
