Rev Samuel Nkulo of the Assemblies of God Church has charged Christians who are alive to make good use of their time on earth and be reconciled with God.
Nkulo in his Homily at the burial of Madam Rose Nwanyiocha Ogbuekiri, at Umuana Ndume Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State enjoined the bereaved family to be consoled and prayed God to sustain and protect them.
Late Madam Rose Nwanyiocha Ogbuekiri was a relation of Senator T.A. Orji CON (Abia Central).
Rendering his tribute, Chief Theodore Orji, who attended the funeral service with his wife, Lady Mrs Odochi Orji, said Late Mrs Nwanyiocha Rose Ogbuekiri was a kind woman who lived a fulfilled life immersed in Christianity both in words and deeds, a woman who loved and cared for his wife, Lady Odochi Orji, in her tender age.
The Senator said he came with his entire family to commiserate with family of the deceased because they had affectionate memories of a protective auntie with a mother figure who was also a great optimist.
He prayed God to give the immediate family the fortitude to bear the pains of losing their mother.
On his part, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji who also attended the service with his wife, Dr Mrs Onyinyechi Orji, described the deceased as a passionate and hardworking woman who lived a fulfilled life.
He recalled how good the deceased was to his family to the extent that her death leaves a huge vacuum in his family.
Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji prayed that the soul of the departed find rest in the Lord and that the family be granted the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
While concluding, the Speaker said he will renovate Ibeama Community Primary School in memory of Mrs Ogbuekiri.
Secretary to the State Government, Barr Chris Ezem, Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Francis Uchendu, Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon Jerry Uzosike, Chief Chinagorom Nwankpa, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Traditional Rulers, Clergymen and top government officials attended the funeral service.
