One of the lawyers to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor has described reports making rounds that the IPOB leader would be appearing before the court today in Abuja as false.

Barr. Ejiofor in a post on his facebook handle after reportedly meeting with Kanu at the Department of State Security (DSS) facility Thursday evening disclosed that the October 21 date has not changed, adding that if there were any change, they will not hesitate to let the people know.

Barr. Ejiofor who stated that Kanu was impressed with the milestone that they (legal team) have gone in ensuring that he regained his (Kanu) freedom said that Kanu expressed his profound gratitude to his hardcore followers, and millions of his supporters who have remained unshaken in their belief in him.

UPDATE ON TODAY’S VISIT TO OUR DEAR CLIENT, ONYENDU MAZI NNAMDI KANU.

I visited our indefatigable Client today in the Company of my Colleague Bar. Aloy Ejimakor.

Our Client, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was extremely delighted to receive both of us, as the visit was interpreted by him, as a soul lifting one.

We had frank and fruitful briefings and the joint-visit offered us ample opportunity to x-ray/ review all legal strategies towards getting him freed sooner than expected.

He was deeply impressed with milestones so far covered, and not without commending us for such an encouraging feat.

The details/highlights shall still remain private as it borders on professional interactions.

He expressed his profound gratitude to his hardcore followers, and millions of his supporters who have remained unshaken in their belief in him.
