Lobbying Intensifies As President Buhari Shops For A New Immigration Boss

There is reported intensity of lobbying going on at the State House as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari shops for the replacement of the Comptroller General of the Nigerian immigration Service (NIS) Muhammadu Babandede who retired from active service on Friday.

Sources within the Villa said that a lot of names have been dropped, but it is understood that President Buhari is having the headache of who replaces Babandede.

Babandede, infonet9ja.com reports who was appointed the Comptroller General of the NIS on May 15, 2016 by President Buhari retired after spending 36 years in Service in accordance with the federal service rule.

The Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Finance and Account, Idris Isah Jere has reportedly taken over from him in acting capacity pending the appointment of a new NIS substantive head by President Muhammadu Buhari which is expected to be announced by next week.
