The daughter of a former Chief Judge of Abia State, whose name we can’t disclose, has reportedly been raped by gang of six-armed robbery group in her father’s house in Aba, the commercial nerve of the state.

The helpless ex-Abia Chief Judge was reportedly raped by the gang during a robbery operation that saw the robbers carting away Tv set, jewelries including mobile phones belonging to the victim and other members of the family.

It was not clear if the ex-Chief Judge was at home when the incident happened, it was learnt that on Emmanuel Paul and Ifeanyi Onyemesi (suspects now in police custody) in the company of other members of their gang whose names were given as Chika, Ifeanyi aka Show, Prince aka Aboy, one toothpick and Samuel, now at large, were reported to have been terrorizing the Eziama axis of Aba over the past four months.

Information has it that the gang had on the same day that they attacked the ex-Abia Chief Judge’s apartment, dispossessed a female resident of Eziama of cash and other valuables.

They were said to have shot at one businessman living at Eziama in the eye which damaged one of his eye sockets as efforts were still ongoing to ensure that the other eye was saved by the team of medical doctors.

A senior police source who pleaded anonymity confirmed the incident, confirmed that two members of the six-man gang were cooling off in the custody of the Rapid Response Squad in Aba.

The source also disclosed that efforts to track other fleeing members of the gang were ongoing.

The source further disclosed that the operatives of the RRS of the Abia State Police Command on the directives of the State Commissioner of Police, Janet Agbede swung into action resulting to the arrest of the two suspects.

The two suspects in the police custody were said to have been arrested in Aba by the RRS team along the busy Aba-Owerri Expressway based on intelligence.

Items recovered from them include plasma Tv, Phones and wristwatches which they took from the residence of the ex-Abia Chief Judge.

The source added that the same gang after robbing one Ndodim Ikechi of his wristwatch, phones, cash and his traveling documents, shot him in the left eyes, leaving his eye socket ruptured.
