An Aba based lawyer, Chief Barr. Emperor Ogbonna has decried the state of roads leading to the Osisioma High Court in Osisioma Local Government Area of Abia State.
Osisioma High Court is a State High Court located just behind the Osisioma Local Government Council Headquarters.
Infonet9ja.com recalls that it was the same court that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s lawyers rushed to obtain an order barring the State Chief Judge or any other judge in the state from swearing-in Dr. Sampson Uche Ogah as the governor of the state shortly after Federal High Court in Abuja under His Lordship, Justice Okon Abang had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue certificate of return to Dr. Ogah.
Unverified information has it that the Osisioma High Court was refurbished by the former governor of Abia State and the incumbent Senator Representing the good people of Abia North Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu while he (Kalu) held sway as the governor of the state (between 1999-2007).
From the picture shared by Barr. Ogbonna, the road leading to the Osisioma High Court is in bad state.
Also from the picture shared by Barr. Ogbonna both the interior and the exterior of the High Court facility are begging for the urgent government attention as they are yet to witness any form of renovation from either the local or state government.
The gates and sign post located within the Osisioma High Court premises are either rusty or have fallen apart due to lack of negligence and total abandonment by the appropriate government agency.
Some parts of the court edifice are showing signs of abandonment from the same government that benefited from the magnanimity of the court that ensured that his election victory was not snatched from him.

Some lawyers who expressed worries over the state of the Osisioma High Court, pleaded with the Governor of the State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to ensure that his Kinetic Abia Project touched the Osisioma High Court and other courts begging for government’s attention before he leaves office in 2023.
