A lawyer-activist simply known as Chief Malcolm E. Omirhobo worried by the level of insecurity going on in Nigeria has applied for license to own AK-47 riffle.
Omirhobo disclosed this in a facebook post on his handle.
According to Omirhobo, the acquisition of an AK-47 would help to checkmate crime and entrench mutual respect between “unknown and known gunmen.”
Information extracted from a post on his wall has it that the purported item with serial number 3442995850 which is to be delivered in Abuja on July 9th, 2021 by 10:51am was signed by one Taiwo of the choice courier service provider.
The activist in the piece titled “THE GUNMEN – By Chief Malcolm Emokiniovo Omirhobo.” wrote “When unknown gunmen, meet known gunmen the former fizzle out and the level of crime drops drastically in the society. When unknown gunmen meet known gunmen there is mutual respect because both sides knows that none of them have the monopoly of violence.
“When unknown gunmen meets known gunmen they speak to each other in the language they both understand. When unknown gunmen meets known gunmen there is a level playing field.
“The only way that Nigerians can stop the menace of criminals armed with AK-47 riffle from committing unlawful violence against them is for them to apply to the appropriate authorities for license to equally own AK-47 riffle to protect their person, family and property.
“Unfortunately and regrettably, it is either that Nigerians are ignorant of their right to self defence or are cowards.
“Small wonder armed criminals with unlicensed AK-47 rifles are having a field day killing, kidnapping, raping, sodomising, extorting, dehumanising, brutalising Nigerians, destroying their properties and chasing them to IDP camps while they despondently.
“laments. Small wonder without AK-47 rifle, Operation Amotekun, Operation Delta Hawk and Operation Ebubedike are nothing but glorified Boys Scout and Boys’ Brigade.
Fellow Nigerians, I urge you all to within the confines of the law apply for guns.
“The Nigerian government is not obliged to give you one if you don’t apply. I just applied for mine.”
