Gunmen have reportedly attacked Ojoto Police Station in Idemili South local government area of Anambra State.
The Nation gathered one Police Inspector was killed during the attack in the afternoon.
However, it was gathered the station was not burnt as Police operatives repelled the attack.
Anambra Police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, told The Nation he was planning to visit the area immediately, adding he would respond after the trip.
But a Senior Police Officer, who spoke in confidence, confirmed the attack, stating “we lost one Inspector today again.”
The source said Police Commissioner Chris Owolabi was preparing to visit the Police station already.
