The Chief of Army Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces, General Attahiru Ibrahim, has reportedly been killed in an air crash.
Ibrahim was said to have died together with a number of his officers and aides.
The late Chief of Army Staff was appointed Chief of Army Staff on January 26, succeeding Tukur Buratai.
He was said too have died at the age of 54.
