Abia Assembly speaker felicitates First Lady on Mothers Day celebration

Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has described the Wife of Abia State Governor, Dr Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu “as a compassionate, considerate and exemplary mother whose rare virtues and actions have greatly blessed families and institutions in the State”.

The Speaker stated this today while rejoicing with the Abia First Lady and all mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

The Speaker said Dr Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu’s motherly virtues have obviously helped the Governor to achieve great success..

“When you have a mother of the family who is peaceful and has the fear of God, as Governor, you can go on to achieve great goals together without worrying about the home because it is in the hands of a good woman.

“Her care for widows and many other humanitarian gestures to the needy are part of the reasons we will always celebrate motherhood, maternal bonds and mothers in Abia and all over the world.

“I am therefore grateful to Abia mothers for living up to their roles as wonderful wives and parents who have helped to bring up their children in God’s way. That is why we celebrate Abia as one of the most peaceful States in Nigeria today, and I urge all mothers to continue to be role models for the younger ones.
