Abia Speaker’s Birthday is a Celebration of Good Parenting – Akobundu
The National Organising Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Col Augustine Akobundu Rtd, has described the 50th birthday celebration of the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, as a celebration of good parenting and proper upbringing.
The PDP stalwart stated this during a visit to the Speaker to mark his birthday earlier today.
“The Speaker is a humble and highly respectful man. There are few people in his position who will still carry themselves with such humility that reflects in his association with everyone including the lowly. He doesn’t discriminate between classes as you can see that everyone irrespective of their status have been thronging in here to celebrate with him. This also reflects in how he runs the Abia State House of Assembly so harmoniously and without any rancour despite the multiple parties that constitute the Assembly”, he said.
Continuing, Akobundu attributed these virtues to good upbringing by the parents of the Speaker, Senator T.A. Orji and his wife.
“When you come across people of influence with such humility, kindness and compassion as the Speaker has, you need not look any further than their parents to know where they got such virtues from.

“So, as we celebrate him today for clocking the golden age, we must also celebrate his parents for the efforts they have put in to raise a total man in Mr Speaker, a man everyone is proud of. Parents should also draw lessons from this so that society can always be proud of the good attributes our children reflect wherever they find themselves”, he admonished.
