Gov. Obiano employs 150 disabled Anambrarians

Governor Willie Obiano has offered employment letters to about one hundred and fifty Ndi Anambra living with disabilities.

The exercise, which is currently ongoing at the Jerome Udorji state Secretariat Awka, saw persons with disabilities posted in various ministries in the state civil service.

While describing the exercise as their best Christmas gift, the Special Adviser to Governor Obiano on disability matters, Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie said that Governor Obiano has shown uncommon love and care to persons living with disabilities in Anambra State, irrespective of the economic downturn in Nigeria.

Barrister Ezewuzie revealed that Governor Obiano in 2018, signed into law, Anambra State Disability Rights Act, an action he said will remain indelible in their lives, and prayed God to continue to bless and protect him for his magnanimity.

The Anambra State chairman, Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, Comrade Ugochukwu Okeke lauded the governor for assisting and remembering them.

In their various remarks, Mr. Romanus Nwabunwanne, who is visually impaired and Nkiru Anakwuo, a physically challenged, who have already received their appointment letters, showered encomiums on Governor Obiano for making them useful for themselves and for their various families.
