Online Media Practitioners Commend PDP’s Youth Inclusive Primaries

The leadership of the Abia State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been commended by the leadership of the Abia Online Media Publishers (AOMP) for a youth inclusive primaries

AOMP is the umbrella body of online media practitioners in the state.

In a statement jointly signed by its President, Comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwo and Secretary, Izuchukwu Nwokoma, the body described the nomination of Promise U. Okoro, a member of the group and publisher of PUO Online Media as the deputy chairman Bende Local Government Area of the state as timely.

The leadership of AOMP challenged other political parties in the state to emulate the pace already set by the PDP.

The group assured the party that with the wealth of experience Promise Uzoma Okoro has garnered over the years particularly in workings of government and in other capacities, including his position as a Special Adviser to Abia Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji on Social Media among other portfolios, he will bring his experience to bare in the administration of Bende LGA as well as key into the core pillars of the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

The Association further urged Mr. Okoro to do his best to ensure that the confidence reposed in him is not in vain, admonishing him to work in close concert with his boss, see his appointment as call to serve the good people of Bende while praying God to strengthen him as the new office calls for greater responsibilities.
