The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, on Saturday condoled with Hon. Prince Martins Ikechukwu Apugo over the death of his mother, Late Mrs Dorathy Apugo.
Speaking at the residence of Hon. Martins Apugo on Saturday, the Speaker urged the former General Manager of the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) to take heart and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“What has happened is death, there is no enmity in death”, the Speaker said.
“I am here to pay my condolences; you are the first son of the Apugo’s.
“Your mother was a very good woman, her roles in several issues needing admonition and guidance are well known to me.
“Politics or no politics, whatever that will bring problem can be sorted out at a roundtable, irrespective of Party; you are my brother.
“I have come to condole with you, my brother,” the Speaker informed while promising to actively participate in the burial activities.
“I will like to participate in the burial and avail the necessary support to ensure that your mother is given a befitting burial,” Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji concluded.
Responding, Hon.Prince Martins Apugo thanked the Rt.Hon. Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly for identifying with him, and paying him a Condolence visit.
