Mr Onyemachi Nwoko has been elected as the New Chairman of the Amaokwe Ugba Development.
Mr Nwoko polled a total of 40 Votes out of 65 Accredited Voters in a Free, Fair and credible Community Election.
Declaring Mr Nwoko as the Winner of the Election,
Barr Anthony Onyebuchi Anyanwu, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee said Nwoko defeated his closest rivals Chief Daniel Iroha and Francis Egeonu to emerge as the New Chairman of Amaokwe Ugba Development Union.
Chief Oji Aham, the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Umuahia North Local Government Transition Committee Chairman administered the oath of Office to the New Chairman and Newly Elected Executive, while Comrade Lucky Akabuike the Transition Committee Chairman of Umuahia North Local Government Area, Presented the Certificate of Return to the New Community Leaders.
The Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt.Hon.Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, a proud Son of Amaokwe Ugba Community in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State charged the Newly Elected Community leaders to protect the integrity of their Community.
The New Chairman Sir Nwoko in his Vote of thanks, appreciated the people of Amaokwe Ugba over the Confidence reposed on him to lead them at this time.
