The governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is set to resume work tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Government House in Umuahia, the state capital, after testing negative for COVID-19.
Sources close to the Abia First Family told our reporter that the governor in the company of his wife; Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu and few aides attended an evening church service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), Umuobikwa, Obingwa countryhome of the governor ahead of his resumption to duties on Wednesday. 
It was gathered that since the absence of the governor from the state, there has been several insinuations and political statements flying around in the state. 
Source, who craved anonymity said that he is waiting to see how the governor would be reacting to some of the issues bordering on his health which took the center stage in the state in his absence.  
Recall that governor Ikpeazu has been out of the state receiving medical attention after he handed over power officially to his deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu after testing positive for COVID-19.
