Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari is dead

The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari, is dead.

A statement  by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Saturday morning, said Kyari died on Friday.

Mallam Kyari tested positive for COVID-19 in March and was taken to Lagos for treatment.

Although the statement did not disclose where he died, it said burial arrangement for the late Chief of Staff would be announced soon.

“The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment.
