The body of former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari was on Saturday morning laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.
Kyari, a cousin to Buhari who was regarded as one of the most powerful members of the President Buahri’s kitchen cabinet was buried according to the Islamic tradition and in strict compliance with the protocols put in place by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Federal Ministry of Health for the burial of coronavirus victims.
According to a tweet by one of the media aides to President Buhari, Garba Shehu, the body of Kyari was flown to Abuja from Lagos where he was said to have been receiving treatment of COVID-19 after he tested positive in the past few weeks.
