A young man whose name was yet-to-be ascertained has been reportedly killed in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State by Policemen said to be on escort duties.
The incident, our reporter gathered occurred at the Uratta junction of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.
This is coming barely 72hrs after personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abia State Command killed a commercial driver on the Umuikaa, Isiala Ngwa South axis of the same Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.
Our reporter who arrived the scene of the incident reports that the body of the deceased was spotted lying in front of G-Gift Filling Station on the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway.
A combined team of Police and Army were seen at the scene as bonfire set by the protesting youths were seen littering on both sides of the expressway.
The body of the deceased was later taken away from the scene in a black police Hilux.
Sources said that the deceased, they identified as an electric welder was part of the youths that were protesting against the death of another Uratta resident; a commercial tricyclist who was allegedly killed by police early Saturday.
The reported death of the commercial tricyclist was said to have sparked a protest on the busy expressway.
Findings have it that a Mercedes Benz 190 belonging to one of the Police officers in Uratta Police Division was set ablaze after hoodlums looted the car engine and the four doors.
Information has it that a lot of youths who had attempted to protest to Uratta Police Station was rounded up and taken to the Uratta Police Station where they were currently being detained.
Unconfirmed information has it that a trader at Uratta timber market simply identified as Sunny Ogbo Osisi had his legs shattered with bullet from a SARS officer identified as Gboge when he (Sunny) was dragging the gun with the Police personnel.
A source at the Abia State Command of the Nigerian Police Force said that the command has launched investigation into the case to ascertain where the policemen that killed the deceased were serving, as they after committing the crime, continued with their journey.
According to the source, the said commercial tricyclist which caused the unrest was said to have been discharged from the hospital where he was earlier taken for medical attention.
In a related development, reports have it that task force set up to enforce the lockdown orders of Abia State government on Friday allegedly killed a keke operator.
It was gathered that members of the task force were patrolling along Opobo road in the Ogbor Hill area of the commercial city, when they sighted a commercial tricycle conveying some people from the Federal Housing Estate end of the city to Opobo junction.
A source said the taskforce pursued the keke operator, who in a bid to escape, lost control of his tricycle and rammed into an electric pole and hit his chest on the handle of the keke.
The keke rider, whose name could not be immediately ascertained, but said to have hailed from Abala in Obingwa Local Government Area, was allegedly dragged out from his tricycle and given the beating of his life by the task force.
The commercial tricyclist was said to have fallen down where he remained unconscious.
On seeing him unconscious, the task force members were said to have rushed the keke rider to a nearby hospital, where he died later.

The State commissioner of police, Ene Okon said he had directed the Divisional police officer of Azuka police station to investigate the matter and bring to book those responsible in manhandling the keke rider.
