Members of the Abia State House of Assembly on Tuesday December Passed HAB 11; The Abia State 2020 Appropriation Bill, 2019 into Law.
Recall that the Governor of the state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu had on November, 18 presented the 2020 Budget to the Abia State House of Assembly for consideration.
The 7th Assembly Speaker Rt.Hon. Chinedum E. Orji had on December 10 during the House plenary assured Abians and the general public that the lawmakers will expedite legislative action and ensure the passage of the budget before the end of the year.
The House during Plenary on Tuesday considered the report presented by the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation Rt.Hon.Kennedy Njoku and subsequently passed the 2020 Appropriation Bill into Law.
