Breaking: INEC issues Okorocha Certificate of Return

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally issued Certificate of Return to ex-Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha.

Recall that a Federal High court in Abuja had last Friday directed the commission to issue the former governor the certificate.

The commission obeyed the directive after its management meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting also discussed other sundry issues.

Meanwhile, reports from Abuja Tuesday has it that the former governor of Imo State who arrived National Assembly premises at 7:40.am ahead of the inauguration was denied accreditation.

Okorocha, who was declared the winner of the Imo West Senatorial District, was not issued a certificate of return by INEC.

However, a federal high court in Abuja last week ordered that he be given his return certificate.

It was, however, gathered that Okorocha was not accredited by the National Assembly management to attend the inauguration.
