The chances of President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to defeat his fiercest rival, Atiku Abubabkar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ahead of the February 16, presidential election have brightened as Youths of Ukwa-Ngwa extraction under the umbrella of Ukwa-Ngwa Youths Assembly (UNYA) endorsed Buhari as their sole candidate.

The youths also used the opportunity to confer the title of Otagburuagu I of Ukwa-Ngwa on the state chairman of the party, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa in appreciation to the giant strides he has recorded since assuming office as the state chairman of the APC.

The endorsement of President Buhari by the UNYA took place in Aba at the Osusu Community Hall located on Fualks road in Aba North Local Government Area of Abia State came on the heels of a meeting held at the place of one of the revered traditional rulers in Abia State and the country at large, His Imperial Majesty, Eze Isaac Ajonuma Ikonne, the Enyi I of Aba Ngwa.

According to Benedict, the chances of an Igbo man becoming the President of the country by 2023 will only be feasible if the Igbos supported Buhari’s reelection bid. This is even as he urged the youths to come out in their numbers to cast their votes for President Buhari and other National Assembly candidates of the party in the state come Saturday.
