The spokesman, Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Benedict Godson says the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate for February 2019 Presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar do not have what it takes to lead Nigeria.
Godson, speaking in Umuahia, Abia State capital stated that the ex-vice president is not the solution to the myriad of problems besetting the country, as Nigerians were being made to believe by the opposition PDP.
He claimed that Atiku contributed to the current socio-economic quagmire ravaging the nation, and posited that the PDP flag bearer was unfit to lead Nigerians.
He said that the APC-led federal government has performed well despite distractions from the opposition, boasting that President Muhammadu Buhari would beat Atiku squarely in the forthcoming presidential election.
According to APC spokesman, “This is a man (Atiku) who has virtually joined all the political parties, yet he could not win election.
“I think, Atiku is not the solution to the problems in the country. He was part of the system. What is he going to offer the Nigerian masses?
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, Monday, took a swipe at the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the February 2019 presidential election in the country.
The Abia state publicity secretary of the APC, Benedict Godson, stated that the ex-vice president is not the solution to the myriad of problems besetting the country, as Nigerians were being made to believe by the opposition PDP.
Godson, who spoke in an interview with journalists in Umuahia, on Monday afternoon, claimed that Atiku contributed to the current socio-economic quagmire ravaging the nation, and posited that the PDP flag bearer was unfit to lead Nigerians.
He said that the APC-led federal government has performed well despite distractions from the opposition, boasting that President Muhammadu Buhari would beat Atiku squarely in the forthcoming presidential election.
According to APC spokesman, “This is a man (Atiku) who has virtually joined all the political parties, yet he could not win election.
“I think, Atiku is not the solution to the problems in the country. He was part of the system. What is he going to offer the Nigerian masses?
“APC within three years did what PDP could not do for sixteen years. APC has shown development. APC believes in democracy. Our democracy is not sharing public funds.
“Nigerian are feeling the impact of true democratic government. Here in Southeast, Buhari has initiated and executed a lot of people-oriented projects. So, I can assure you that President Buhari will beat Buhari hands down in the 2019 election”.
