An auto crash which occurred along the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway has left not less than nine persons dead and 12 critically injured.
The accident occurred at Ihe axis of Awgu local government of Enugu State.
According to the Enugu State Police Command spokesman, Superintendent Ebere Amaraizu, the accident occurred when an articulated vehicle conveying a caterpillar had a head on collision with a 508 mini bus conveying passengers believed to be worshipers.
According to Amaraizu, the deceased have been deposited at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku – Ozalla mortuary.
The 12 critically injured were also rushed to the hospital for intensive attention.
