Two men on Friday appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over alleged theft of a Mazda bus valued at N2.1 million.
The accused, Temitope Adisa, 29, and Christopher Stanley, 25, were arraigned on a three-count of conspiracy, stealing and intent to steal.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Kehinde Olatunde, said that the accused committed the offences at 9.30p.m., at Itamaga, Ikorodu, Lagos.
He said that the accused stole the bus with registration number FKJ 704 XU by using a master key.
According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene Sections 287, 330(d) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Komolafe admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum.
Substantive hearing in the case will start on Nov. 25.
