“In Abia State, we are planning to return PDP to power come 2019. By the special grace of God, I will be the flag bearer.
“For the Past three years in Abia State, we have succeeded in placing Abia on the part of irreversible sustainable development running on our five pillars of development, trade and commerce; agriculture and promotion of medium and small scale enterprises.
According to Ikpeau, the state under the five pillars of his administration has been able to do better especially in the area of infrastructure and promotion of the SMEs.
In his words after the National Secretary of the party, Austin Osondu handed him over the forms said “Today, Abia has been acknowledged as the SME capital of Nigeria. The promotion of Made in Aba, thus made in Nigeria has gone beyond the shores of Nigeria…
“The market infrastructural development has opened up our markets and major cities to ensure that trade and commerce have begun to flourish once again.
“I know that whatever that is good is ordained by God and I can say that by the wish of God, we will continue deliver democratic dividend to the people.
“Having said this, I have obtained the expression of interest as well as nomination forms to run for governor in 2019 under our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Having obtained the aforesaid forms, I therefore with humility wish to return these forms to the National Organizing Secretary here at the secretariat, hoping that God will grant us good wish and success in all our actions come 2019.”
