CEO Masters Energy joins Abia guber race, to declare September 6

The MD/CEO of Masters Energy Group Dr. Sampson Uche Ogah will on Thursday September 6, declare his intention to contest the 2019 governorship election in Abia State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The event scheduled to take place at the Adelabu by Azikiwe secretariat of the party would be attended by supporters of Ogah and members of the party’s executive in the state and Abia North respectively including members of various campaign group of the aspirant.

Sources close to Ogah told infonet9ja.com that they were optimistic that the onetime governorship aspirant of PDP in 2015 would win the election in the state owing to his popularity and support from Abians who believe that he has the requisite knowledge and capacity to deliver democratic dividend to the Abia electorates who have been following his antecedents in the private sector of the nation’s economy where he has been adjudged to have done well.

The sources added that efforts were being made for the leadership of the party who has said on several occasions that they would throw the governorship race open to any zone of the state and give everyone the enabling ground to test his or her popularity. This is even as they maintained that if the state would adopt direct primaries as a formula to choose the person that would fly the flag of the party in 2019, that Ogah would emerge victorious.
