It was a tragic day for residents of Ikom local government area of Cross River state as a family of eight reportedly died in their sleep.
Yet to be verified reports have it that the deceased family members were refugees who fled Cameroon for Cross River State to seek for shelter after crossing the border following the political crisis between the French and English speaking Cameroon.
Though no official report(s) have come out from the police and other related government agencies, information gathered online has it that the family might have died from generator fumes.
Their corpses were said to have been discovered by their neighbours after noticing their absence for long.
It was learnt that investigation into their mysterious death have been launched by the authorities concerned.
