2019 governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Dr. Alex Otti OFR was on Sunday July 29, honoured with the “Pillar of Hope” award in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Netu in Aba South Local Government Area of the state.
Infonet9ja.com gathered that Otti was well received at the church by the presiding priest and congregants who could not hide their feelings seeing Otti being in their midst.
Speaking after the award, Dr. Otti made it clear that not minding his present day status, he hasn’t forgotten that the church is his immediate constituency, having grown up as the son of a former teacher and pastor, and promised to immediately collaborate with other awardees and give urgent quality support for the growth of the church.
Also honored at the event were the Honorable Member Representing Aba North and South in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ossy Prestige, the former ICAN President and APGA Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central, Mr. Chidi Onyeukwu Ajaegbu and the Senatorial Candidate forAbia South, Sir. Chris Nkwonta, the Honorable Member Representing Aba Central State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Sir. Abraham Oba.
According to the media aide to the former Diamond Bank CEO/MD, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Otti left Aba to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he led some of his friends and associates in honorable solidarity to the popular man of God, Prophet Michael Akindapo of the Apostolic Fire Ministry who celebrated his birthday.
Ekeoma said that the populous church dominated by Igbo speaking members got electrified after Otti’s presence was announced.
“Prophet Akindapo praised Dr. Otti for his great accomplishments as a respected Nigerian, and
prophesized success for him in his political ambition.
“Dr. Otti who was specially honored and celebrated amidst repeated thunderous ovations was joined at the occasion by his wife, Priscilla, his 2015 running mate, Dr. Mrs. Uche Eme Churche, Sir. Chris Nkwonta and many other dignitaries and supporters,” Ekeoma stated in a release
