Ikpeazu’s Special Adviser on Public Communications to run for House of Rep

In a reply to an article written by the former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Rochas Anayo Okorocha, Mr. Ebere Uzokwa, published on Ikenga Chronicle of March 11, 2018, Mr. Onyebuchi Ihuoma Ememanka, Special Adviser to the Abia State Governor on Public Communications acknowledged his age long relationship with the incumbent lawmaker representing the people of Osisioma/Obingwa/Ugwunagbo federal constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Solomon Adaelu.

In his reply still, Ememanka who made the public to understand that he had robust relationship with Adaelu wrote “Uzokwa described Hon. Adaelu, the member representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo federal constituency at the House of Representatives as his friend. Unknown to him, Solo and I are not just friends, but brothers. We have known each other since our days at secondary school. My closeness to Solo is a public knowledge… Solo and I share great friendship and we have mutual respect for each other… Not only is he my brother and friend. He is my representative at the National Assembly. On each occasion of my visit, Solo received me very well and we usually had useful discussions covering wide range of issues…”

On Monday July 16, the aide to the governor of Abia State however, took to his Facebook page to formally announce his intention to aspire to represent the people of Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency currently being occupied by his friend and brother; Solomon Adaelu.

Ururuaja’s (as fondly called by friends) Monday declaration of his intention to aspire for the House of Representatives position under the same PDP that Adaelu belongs to has raised questions over his acclaimed friendship and closeness with the current lawmaker representing the constituency. This is even as many Osisioma and many fans of Solomon Adaelu awaits to hear what Mr. Ememanka would use against his “friend” and lawmaker when he (Ememanka) meets with delegates and party stakeholders in the constituency to present himself as a better choice to Adaelu.

Announcing his intention on his Facebook wall, Ememanka wrote

“URURUAJA DECLARES!

“Guide me O, thou Great Jehovah

“My dear friends, ladies and gentlemen,

“It is with a profound sense of responsibility and humility that I inform you that after deep and careful thought, serious deliberations with my wife and family members, consultations with several people…and most importantly, after communing with my God,

“I, ONYEBUCHI IHUOMA EMEMANKA, son of Umule Village, Amasator Ward 3, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, hereby declare my interest to throw my Ururuaja Cap into the ring for the very first time, to vie for the ticket of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 elections for a seat at the Federal House of Representatives to represent the good and enterprising people of the Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency.

“In the coming days, I shall intensify the ongoing consultations with party leaders and members across the three local governments that make up our federal constituency, in a bid to present my candidature to them for consideration.

“I shall also, in the coming days, interact more with you, as I have always done, as we proceed further on this move, which is by miles, clearly the most audacious step I will ever take in my life.
