Abaribe to arrive home after incarceration, arraignment

Information emerging in Abia State, especially from Obingwa Local Government Area has it that the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe would be arriving his Obingwa country home by weekend barring any last minute change.

 

Sources close to Abaribe have it that, it was the first time the lawmaker was coming home after being arrested and brought before Hon. Justice Binta Nyako of Abuja Federal High Court by the personnel of Department of State Service (DSS) who later released him.

Recall that the Abia South Senatorial District lawmaker was arrested and held in DSS custody for about 5days after his Abuja residence was raided by the DSS personnel.

 

Though information about his imminent home visit was still sketchy at the time of filing this report, it was learnt that Abaribe’s kinsmen, supporters and party faithful were in high spirit to receiving him on Friday in Obingwa.

infonet9ja.com sources in Obingwa promised to provide the platform with more news about the intended reception which the Governor of the State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, his deputy, Udo Okochukwu, Eric Acho (former Deputy of the sate), PDP State Chairman, Johnson Onuigbo PDP lawmakers in the State and National Assembly were expected to be in attendance.

Some of the respondents who commended Justice Nyako for refusing to be hoodwinked or used by the DSS to subject their son to injustice and abuse of his fundamental rights called on the federal government to call the DSS and other security agencies to order,
