Tragedy on Monday struck at Umuoleghi Amuzukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, Abia state as a middle aged unperturbed mother tied her son with a rope, bathed him with kerosene and later set him on fire for allegedly taking custody of her memory card.
It was gathered that the boy whose identity could not be ascertained as at the time of this report was rescued by passersby after being badly injured as a result of the impact of the burn.
He was said to have been rushed to the Police Clinic Bende road Umuahia for prompt medical attention and on arriving the clinic, they were referred to FMC Umuahia, Abia State where proper medical attention would be given to the victim.
