“You are marking your last Democracy Day in office, Secondus fires APC

As the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari were celebrating 19years of uninterrupted democracy in the country and 3years of the leadership of President Muhammdu Buhari led administration, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has fired shot at them, saying that the APC is celebrating their last Democracy Day.

 

Second issued by his media aide, Ike Abonyi claimed that Nigerians can no longer wait to vote out the APC, stressing that never gain would Nigerians give power to a “non-democrat” to man the affairs of the country.

The national chairman of the PDP wondered if the day worth celebrating going by the death in the land and the hardship many Nigerian families have been subjected to as a result of the incumbent administration’s economic programmes.

 

According to Secondus, the only way that Nigeria’s democracy would be saved is by collecting their PVCs to vote out the incumbent APC leadership at the center and other states of the federation.

 

He went further to appeal to the international community and election observes to ensure that 2019 election wasn’t rigged by the “If Democracy must survive in our country we must do away with APC and Nigerians are ready and willing to do just that because they cherish democracy as the best form of government.

“Going by their poor record of performance in the last 36 months, and the determination of Nigerians to put the country in the right footing, this is the last Democracy Day this President will mark.

 

“Their agenda now is to intimidate, harass and scare opponents to create a Police state with the aim of turning the country into one party state but it must be resisted by Nigerians who passed similar road before and came out victorious.

‘’The next Democracy Day May, 29, 2019 which Nigerians and indeed all lovers of democracy are anxiously looking forward to would be the smooth transition from confusion and purposeless governance to real democracy which the PDP is returning to gift to the Nation”
