Black Tuesday: 15persons die in auto crash

It was indeed a black Tuesday in Ondo State as no fewer than 15 passengers travelling along Epinmi-Isua Akoko reportedly died in a road accident.

InfoNet9ja.com could not immediately ascertain the cause of the accident, but sources however stated that the victims’ bus had a head on collision with an unregistered car before going up in flames, allegedly burning all the occupants of the bus.

An eye witness said the unregistered vehicle which was reportedly driven by a man suspected to be a military personnel was said to have overtaken a vehicle along the ever busy Epinmi-Isua-Abuja road and as the bus driver was trying to dodge him, rammed into a moving vehicle.

Drivers of the two vehicles were said to have survived the accident and were being treated of various degrees of injuries in a yet to be disclosed hospital.
The Police Area Commander for Akoko, Razak Rauf who was on a routine trip to some divisions in the area confirmed the accident and attributed it to recklessness.
