Abia: OMPAN congratulates Governor-elect, Alex Otti

The Abia State Chapter of Online Media Practitioners Of Nigeria (OMPAN) has felicitated the Governor-elect, Dr. Alex Otti, over his victory in the just concluded governorship election in the state.

Otti was the candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in last Saturday’s gubernatorial election.

In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of OMPAN, Mr. Loveday Chidi, the Chairman of the Union, Paddy Anyatonwu, urged the governor-elect to be magnanimous in victory and see his victory as an opportunity to improve the life of the citizenry as well as an avenue to uplift the socio-economic life of the state.

The union also observed that the overwhelming victory of Otti, truly reflected the wishes of the people of the state and implored him to run an all-inclusive government and listen to every stratum of the society to give every citizen a desired sense of belonging.

“You must never lose guard and endeavour to make people the core of your administration by realizing that sovereignty belongs to the people, therefore, government’s programs and policies must be people-oriented.
