Obinna Nwosu, the candidate of the
African Democratic party (ADC) has faulted the absence of other candidates listed to slug it out in the much publicized Abia State Election Debate for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency.
During the debate on Monday 23, 2023, Obinna said the absence of other candidates who he described as people who should know that they have a deep sense of responsibility, failed to join the debate. He however added that his deep sense of responsibility prompted him to join in the debate.
In his words: “candidates who show up for debates are candidates who respect their constituency, I know of candidates who are in town and they were notified of this debate two months ago, and they failed, this is a slap to the people and I hope the people will take action”.
Chimaobi Ogbundiogu of the Young Progressives Party ( YPP) and
Obinna Nwosu of the African Democratic party (ADC) on Monday slugged it out in the kick off of the 2023 Abia State Election Debate.
