The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and his wife, Dr Mrs Onyinyechi Chinedum Orji, today attended the wedding/traditional marriage reception of Mr & Mrs David Onwuzuruike.
Speaking at the event held at the International Conference Centre, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia, the Speaker advised the couple to build their union on the foundation of humility and forthrightness.
While congratulating them and wishing them a fruitful home where love and prosperity reign, the Speaker urged them to be submissive to one another and hinge their marriage on God.
He and his wife joined the couple in cutting the wedding cake.
The couple who were earlier joined together in Holy Matrimony at Mater Dei Catholic Church, Umuahia, thanked the Speaker and all who came to celebrate with them.
The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji CON and his wife, Member representing Umuahia North State Constituency, Hon Kelechi Onuzuruike, Member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency, Hon Emeka Okoroafor, former Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, Members of the State Executive Council, Executive Chairmen of Local Government Areas, Traditional Rulers, Clergymen and other dignitaries attended the event.
