The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji today attended the funeral service of Late Mrs Joy Maduwuaja Benson Adighimadu Ogbuehi which held at Ehume Umuopara, Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.

While delivering his condolence message to the family of the late matriarch,, the Speaker condoled with them over the loss of their mother, saying that death is inevitable to all mankind.

He urged the first son of the deceased who is also the Executive Chairman of Umuahia South Local Government Area, Engr Dr Humphery Chukwudi Benson, to accept his commiserations and remain strong because the death of a loved one whose vacuum cannot be filled is painful.

Finally, the Speaker advised Hon Humphrey to make sure that the legacies of his late mother was not forgotten. He prayed God to give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

On his part, Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji CON, in his tribute said mothers are special vessels but that it was unfortunate that God called Madam Joy home when she was to relish the political elevation of his son and submitted that God knows better.

He conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed that the soul of the departed find rest in the Lord.

Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, represented by his Deputy, Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, Secretary to the State Government, Barr Chris Chiadi Ezem, Members of Abia State House of Assembly, Local Government Executive Chairmen, political bigwigs in Umuahia South LGA, Traditional Rulers and Clergymen attended the funeral service.
