Teenager Reportedly Pushes 52-Year-Old Woman To Death

Operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS), attached to the Abia State Police Command have reportedly rescued 28-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter, identified as Chinwe and Oluebube from kidnappers’ den.

Chinwe and her daughter were kidnapped by their captors along Umuojima road in Osisioma local government area of the state.

Efforts to reach the family and the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Geoffrey Ogbonna at the time of filing the report were unsuccessful.

The RRS operatives led by its commander, SP Johnbull Obioguru rescued the victims at Eberi Omuma, a neighbouring Rivers State community, after a hot chase shortly after they received intelligence of the kidnap incident.

A Police source disclosed that most armed robbery and kidnap activities in Aba and its environs were linked to the group who has been on the watch list of the RRS and other security agencies.

The source said that apart from rescuing the woman and her daughter, they were able to arrest one Mr. Uba Nweke (28years), Daniel Chilaka (29years) and Peter Jumbo (30years) all indigenes of Eberi Omuma community in Rivers State in connection to the Kidnap of the woman and daughter.

One locally made double gun, five live cartridges, one cutlass and one motorcycle were some of the exhibits recovered from the kidnapers den.
