The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has sent a congratulatory message to the Chief Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia on his elevation to full Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, by the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi State.
The Speaker expressed his delight at the newly installed Professor Azubuike Kanario Onyebuchi who is not just a member of his constituency but also a younger brother, saying the elevation was a well deserved one following the well documented numerous insightful academic works and years of excellent practice in his chosen field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
The Speaker said Professor Azubuike’s exploits in the medical field and his exceptional managerial skills have further repositioned the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, and brought it to greater limelight.
He called on youths of his constituency and everywhere to emulate the virtues of hard work and integrity that are the hallmarks of Professor Azubuike Onyebuchi’s approach to life in order for them to achieve a bright future for themselves.

He said the elevation is surely the beginning of greater things to be achieved by the Professor who holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery Degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a Masters Degree in Health Administration, Economics and Policy, also from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.
