The Bishop in-charge of Christ Holy Church International (CHC), Province III, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Sylvanus Machie has charged the Men’s Fellowship of CHC Int’l, No. 7b Ibo Road, Abia State and those under his province to emulate the faith exhibited by the founder of the church; (Mama Odozi Obodo) and other God’s Generals that held strong, their faith in God during their apostolic missions.

Rt. Rev. Machie gave this admonition during the activities to mark the 2020 Father’s Day celebration of CHC Int’l in Aba, the commercial nerve of the state.

Speaking on the topic, “Keeping the Faith”, Bishop Machie who took his text from 2Timothy chapter 4 verses 7, while using Apostle Paul as an example of a man that held strong to his faith during his apostolic mission on earth and was awaiting crown of victory, stated that the race to the kingdom of God is not like the earthly race.

Bishop Machie, while regretting that some believers for one reason or the other backslide from their faith, apparently because of the various challenges that they might have encountered on their way, urged Christian men to stand strong in their faith in God just as Mama Odozi Obodo and other notable workers of God did.

The Bishop in-charge of Province III who stated that laziness doesn’t guarantee success or the assurance that one will make Heaven called on parishioners to hold firm to their faith while awaiting the second coming of Jesus Christ.

“We should be true Nation Builders whose characters and attitudes must reflect the qualities of Jesus Christ in honesty, righteousness and uprightness in everything we do.

“Fathers should be light bearers to the women and children of the church and society at large. Not hiding or shying away from their responsibilities of being at home so that our wives and children will learn and emulate our good qualities.

“The survival of the Church of God and the world in general rests on the big shoulders of every msn and therefore, a true Christian father must not fail in his efforts to making sure that the gospel of God keeps soaring to greater heights without excuses as God may not take it easy with men the second time.”
