The people of Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State have sent SOS (Save Our Soul) message to the State governor, His Excellency Willie Obiano and President Muhammadu Buhari over the menace of erosion in their area.
While it was gathered that majority of residents in the erosion prone areas have lost property worth millions, several others are feared to be on the verge of being lost to the ravaging erosion.
They feared that if nothing is done to address the situation, they may be forced to lose their ancestral homes to the erosion.
A facebook post made by one Evans Ezeilo listed Ugeri, Ezeonyilimba, Ibeneme, Ejimnaka, Anyakei, Umeoduagu and many others as some of the people that have already been affected by the erosion.
