140 IPOB members regain freedom from Enugu Prison

It was all joy in Enugu State on June 13, as over 140 members Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) gained their freedom from the Enugu Prison located around popular New Market.

While information about their release at press time is sketchy, it was learnt that others whose bail conditions were yet-to-be perfected will soon join their counterparts to reunite with their families.

Information available to this medium has it that the IPOB members have been in detention for over three weeks when they were arrested by soldiers and DSS, charged to court and detained at the Enugu Prison by the security agents.

Some of the IPOB members who were interviewed said that instead of being afraid or intimidated, but resolute and committed in the cause of fighting for the freedom and emancipation of the people of the Old Eastern Region.
