Mrs. Onyinyechukwu Nwafor, an indigent widow with two months old triplets begging for alms on top of the Unizik junction Awka Pedestrian Bridge has send a Save Our Soul (SOS) to Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and his Anambra counterpart, Chief Willie Obiano to save her children.
Nwafor, an indigene of Onueke Ezza of Ebonyi State was said to have relocated from Enugu State to Anambra after she reportedly lost her husband (Emmanuel Nwafor) with no help coming from any of her husband’s relatives and life becoming difficult for her to cope with.
The mother of the triplets; two girls and a boy gave the names of the babies as Ebubechukwu, Chinazaekpere and Chikamso.
Mrs. Nwafor is appealing to the Ebonyi state Governor, Chief Dave Umahi and wife as well as other South East Governors wives and philanthropists to assist her feed the triplets.
According to her, she has been surviving through alms from passersby, stressing that she is no longer finding it easy to feed the children and catering for their needs.
The woman, who stated that she squats in an incomplete building, said that she wants to start a business so as to stop begging alms and take care of the children.
Luck however came her way as a Good Samaritan who gave his name as Mr. Law Onyia, from Ngodo Village; Nise gave her a Techno phone.
Mr. Onyia was a passer-by when our reporter was interviewing Mrs. Nwafor and overheard her saying she has no phone contact for future communication should anybody wishes to assist her and her triplets.
Onyia volunteered to buy her a phone and made money available for our reporter to provide the woman with a phone. She was delighted about that offer.
A witness Mr. Uchenna Mbam, aka Obele, an Electrician from Ikwo Echelike, Ebonyi State thanked Mr. Onyia for his gesture and appealed to good spirited individuals to assist the mother of triplets to feed her babies.
Obele presented the phone on behalf of Mr. Onyia.
