RESIDENTS of Karmo, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, have protested the killing of 52-year-old Solomon Eze by a policeman.
Eze was said to have been killed by the policeman on Sunday when he and his team went to the community to arrest a robbery suspect.
It was learnt that Eze was shot in the confusion that ensued as residents tried to stop the policemen from taking the suspect away. It was gathered that the suspect escaped in the melee.
“We are angry,”said one resident. “How can someone who did nothing wrong be brought down like that?”
Police said their man who killed Eze had been arrested and detained.
